Pretentious Hypocrisy

I'm starting to see
That my seething's misguided
I'm frightening friends
My insistence pretentious
Hypocrisy laces my noblest intentions
I'm losing these battles for windmills
While wars fought in other lands kill
Almost eaten my fill
Of this negative vibe
Got my Tribe to attend to
Must shake my-self out of
This self-induced stupor
This trance
And just dance
For this life's
Made for dancing
(romancing this dread)
I'm not dead!
Among the living
Should be giving
Singing, dancing, living, laughing
Cannot stand for Love
If I'm convinced I stand above
My shame, regret
I wish I didn't think that I'll forget
This lesson
If I lessen credibility
I'll live without ability
To make a single difference-- must Repent
must reAlign the lenz
and take a look at me.
So sorry, ev'ybody.
